🔬 Dr. Ellen Ochoa – The first Hispanic woman to go to space! As a mission specialist on Space Shuttle Discovery in 1993, Ellen’s work has inspired future generations of Latinas to aim for the stars, literally and figuratively. Her dedication to STEM education resonates deeply with Wicket’s mission to empower students globally.

💻 Dr. Frances Colón —A neuroscientist and policy leader, Dr. Colón has been instrumental in advising global climate and science policies and advocating for STEM in underserved communities. Her journey from a small town in Puerto Rico to the highest levels of the U.S. government is a story of resilience and leadership, qualities we strive to instill in all Wicket learners.

⚙️ Sofía Kovalevskaya – A Forgotten Mathematician – Although not as widely known, Sofía’s advancements in mathematical theory and differential equations laid the groundwork for future innovations. Her achievements remind us of the importance of inclusive education in STEM—a fundamental tenet of Wicket’s mission.
